    Introducing PayPal Ads: A New Data-Driven Personalised Advertising Tool Driving Business Growth

    Digital payments giant PayPal has launched ‘PayPal Ads’ in the UK, a new solution aiming to deliver more value for consumers, brands and merchants throughout the shopping journey.

    PayPal Ads will deliver insights based on scaled shopping intent and transaction data to enable brands to create personalised, dynamic ad messaging and full-funnel campaigns that drive business growth.

    With consumers looking for increasingly simplified and personalised shopping experiences, PayPal Ads will ensure that customers are shown ads related to their past purchases. It says that this method will help to increase the likelihood of sales and improve the overall shopping experience for consumers.

    PayPal plans to launch the new solution in phases, with customers beginning to see ads from July 2025. It builds on the company’s long-standing relationships with millions of consumers and merchants, covering nearly a quarter of all e-commerce transactions globally.

    Brands will be able to measure the return on investment and impact to market share. The solution enables interested PayPal users to discover relevant brands and products that enhance their shopping experience, while also helping merchants grow their business.

    Mark Grether, SVP and GM of PayPal Ads, also said PayPal believes the new advertising solution will become a “must-use marketing and revenue channel” for all sizes of merchants.

    “PayPal, already a smart payment solution for over 430 million users globally, is now revolutionising commerce to become a smarter way to buy,” added Grether. “In a world where shopping is agentic, invisible, and everywhere, brands need a partner that can help them reach these empowered shoppers. PayPal – and its wealth of consumer knowledge – will help brands and merchants not only respond to demand, but also thrive in this new commerce ecosystem.”

    PayPal is also inviting merchants and brands to explore this opportunity to help amplify their reach and connect more meaningfully with customers through innovative advertising strategies.
