Financial technology company FIS has introduced a reengineered version of its Private Capital Suite, now delivered as a cloud-native software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. The platform has also been upgraded to a full front-to-back offering through the integration of the newly launched FIS Investor Services Suite.

The reengineered suite is designed to address key operational challenges facing the private equity industry by replacing manual processes with automation, harmonising data flows, and providing secure, real-time insights for investors.

The launch comes as many private equity firms navigate the complexities of digital transformation. According to recent ‘Harmony Gap’ research from FIS, less than half (45 per cent) of private equity firms feel confident and prepared when investing in their fintech strategies.

Matt Stauffer, head of back office solutions at FIS, discussed the challenges facing the sector: “The growth in private equity has brought complexities that include more intricate fund structures, multijurisdictional compliance, and higher investor expectations for transparency and digital access. Our reengineered Private Capital Suite helps clients adapt and thrive in this environment.”

A front-to-back solution for the private equity lifecycle

The updated Private Capital Suite is designed to provide a flexible and scalable ecosystem for private equity managers to handle complex fund processing. The integration of the Investor Services Suite allows the platform to service the full private equity lifecycle, from investor onboarding and portfolio monitoring to fund accounting and reporting.

The platform includes enhanced capabilities for anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and investor onboarding processes. It also provides multijurisdictional compliance support to cater to the increasingly global and multi-asset strategies of modern private equity firms and asset managers.

The reengineered suite is part of a broader series of product updates from FIS aimed at modernising capital markets. Other recent launches include the company’s Optimised Reconciliation Service and Neural Treasury solution.
