Brankas, an open finance platform provider, has partnered with Vietnam-based technology firm Gimasys to deliver open banking solutions for the country’s financial sector.

The collaboration aims to help banks and financial institutions comply with new regulations and accelerate their digital transformation efforts.

The partnership comes as the State Bank of Vietnam introduces new requirements for open APIs.

Brankas brings its open finance infrastructure and security expertise, while Gimasys contributes deep local market knowledge and experience integrating core banking systems.

The joint platform will support automated payment flows, API lifecycle management, third-party partner integration, consent frameworks, and data security.

It is designed to help institutions localise solutions, shorten time to market, reduce operational costs, and improve user experience, while meeting compliance ahead of SBV deadlines.

The collaboration also includes strategic advisory services to support regulatory alignment.

Both firms have implemented similar initiatives across Southeast Asia and plan to tailor their offerings to the specific needs of Vietnamese financial institutions.

Nguyen Thanh Son, Director of Banking Division at Gimasys, said,

“The combination of Gimasys’ comprehensive digital solution deployment capacity and Brankas’ leading API Banking technology will create breakthrough values for the finance and banking industry in Vietnam.

We believe that this cooperation will help financial institutions accelerate the digital transformation process, while bringing a more modern, flexible and secure open banking experience to users.”

Todd D. Schweitzer, CEO and Co-Founder of Brankas, said,

“We are excited to join forces with Gimasys, a trusted digital transformation partner, to seize this opportunity and work closely with both banks and non-bank institutions to drive innovation and enhance customer-centric financial services.

This collaboration embodies our shared vision of enabling Vietnamese banks to adopt open, interoperable ecosystems—ensuring regulatory compliance while unlocking new revenue streams through API monetisation and supporting long-term, sustainable growth.”
