Following a new partnership between Centiglobe, the cross-border payment infrastructure solutions provider, and Mastercard Move, Mastercard’s portfolio of global money movement solutions, customers using Centiglobe’s blockchain-based payments platform will now be able to use Mastercard Move through a single integration.

By integrating with Mastercard Move through the Centiglobe payments platform, banks and payment service providers gain access to a broad range of money movement options, enabling them to scale their cross-border payment operations efficiently.

With Centiglobe’s blockchain-based platform powered by tokenised deposits, financial institutions can unlock new revenue streams, optimise liquidity management, minimise transaction costs, and reduce counterparty risk. Unlike traditional cross-border payment models, Centiglobe does not charge per transaction. Instead, it offers a scalable platform with a fixed cost based on transaction volume, making it particularly advantageous for businesses and financial institutions with high transaction flows.

“By integrating with Mastercard Move, we are enabling our members and their customers to expand their reach and access to global payments while jointly working with Mastercard to drive new growth opportunities. By leveraging our collaboration, a local payment provider can, for example, facilitate an international payment in near real-time without additional integrations,” says Petter Sandgren, CEO of Centiglobe.

The portfolio of solutions reaches more than 180 countries and 150+ currencies, with access to more than 95 per cent of the world’s banked population.

“At Mastercard, we are committed to enabling fast, secure and accessible cross-border transactions for businesses and people,” said Pratik Khowala, global head of transfer solutions, Mastercard. “Our collaboration with Centiglobe provides a broader range of banks and payment service providers with seamless access to Mastercard Move, thereby extending the benefits of enhanced payment connectivity to even more businesses and consumers around the world.”
