DBS has launched a new Gen AI-powered coaching platform called iCoach, developed in collaboration with executive coach Marshall Goldsmith, to provide personalised career guidance to its employees.
The platform is designed to benefit staff at all levels, moving beyond the traditional approach where coaching is often reserved for top executives.
iCoach offers tailored advice on topics such as leadership, work-life balance, and career development, drawing from the bank’s internal roles and mobility pathways.
Coaching has traditionally been offered on a one-to-one basis and can be costly, making it difficult to scale across an entire organisation.
DBS said it turned to generative AI to address these challenges and deliver coaching more efficiently.
Available 24/7, the platform draws on insights from Goldsmith, a veteran leadership coach who has advised Fortune 500 leaders for over four decades.
DBS said the launch of iCoach is part of its ongoing efforts to prepare employees for the future of work.
Research from coaching organisations has shown that such guidance can lead to improved work performance, communication skills, and self-confidence.
The platform complements other DBS initiatives such as iGrow, which matches employees with learning and job opportunities; the DBS Mentoring Programme; the DBS Learning Hub, which offers more than 10,000 courses; and Be My Guest, a job shadowing and cross-department exposure programme.
The bank said these initiatives reflect its commitment to employee development and have contributed to external recognition.
DBS was recently ranked first in TIME’s 500 Best Companies in Asia Pacific and has appeared on Forbes’ list of World’s Best Employers.

Lee Yan Hong, Head of Group Human Resources, DBS, said,
“As the world of work continues to evolve, building career resilience has become more important than ever. At DBS, we are committed to helping our people thrive by equipping them with future-ready capabilities through our comprehensive Triple E framework – Education, Exposure and Experience.
iCoach is a powerful new addition that complements these efforts, leveraging Gen AI to offer personalised, on-demand career guidance to help every employee confidently navigate and grow in the future of work.”
