Imperial College London will host a workshop on 26 March 2025, exploring the influence of AI, blockchain and quantum computing on the financial services industry.
The UKFin+ Spotlight Event at Imperial College London will gather experts from both industry and academia to discuss the transformative impact of emerging technologies.
Scheduled from 9am to 4pm, the event will include panel discussions and interactive sessions focusing on the challenges and opportunities presented by these technologies.
Participants will also engage in breakout groups to delve deeper into specific issues, providing an overview of how these innovative technologies are shaping the future of finance.
Event organisers commented: “The rapid emergence of new, game-changing technologies is now a staple of the modern world, reshaping industries and creating new ones.
“Despite having greater resources, established companies often struggle to adapt due to rigid business practices and existing technology commitments, leaving them vulnerable to agile newcomers. Without proactive strategies, entire product lines or firms can fail in surprisingly short time frames.
“Adapting to change is a critical challenge for the industry, requiring agility and the development of innovative techniques and tools to accelerate technology adoption. This workshop will bring together the three themes from our Wicked Lunches – AI, blockchain and quantum computing – examining their intersections and crossovers and their impact on financial services.”
