Komplett Partners With Two to Deploy B2B Risk-as-a-Service Platform

B2B payments technology provider Two has entered into a partnership with online electronics retailer Komplett. Through the collaboration, Komplett will deploy Two’s Risk-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform across its B2B stores in Norway, Sweden and Denmark to automate credit and fraud risk decisions.

Komplett is the first enterprise in the Nordic region to implement this type of integrated RaaS solution. The move comes as B2B e-commerce faces increasing challenges from sophisticated fraud. Industry data cited in the release projects the cost of e-commerce fraud to merchants worldwide will grow significantly, from $44billion in 2024 to $107billion by 2029. Common fraud schemes in the B2B sector include identity theft, the creation of synthetic businesses, and internal impersonation.

Replacing manual processes with automated decisioning

Prior to adopting the new platform, Komplett reportedly relied on manual credit assessments and various separate data sources for risk control. The company stated this approach created onboarding delays and challenges in scaling risk management effectively, leaving it exposed to fraud types such as abuse of open invoice terms and purchases made by unauthorised individuals at legitimate companies.

Two’s RaaS platform replaces these manual processes with an API-first solution that combines fraud detection, credit scoring, identity verification, and customisable risk rules. This allows for real-time decisioning at checkout. Key capabilities of the platform include unified fraud and credit screening for all buyers, real-time identity verification, and configurable risk policies that allow Komplett to adjust credit limits without new coding.

Andreas Mjelde, CEO and co-founder of Two, said: “B2B fraud has evolved rapidly. What was once rare and opportunistic is now systematic, frequent and increasingly clever. Fraudsters are abusing invoice terms, impersonating real businesses and even posing as employees within legitimate companies. With order values often exceeding €5,000, B2B payments have become a prime target.”

Anne Mari Huseby Le, head of credit at Komplett, also added: “We’ve addressed some of the most complex B2B scenarios – from machine-to-machine orders and migrating hundreds of thousands of existing customers, to handling sub-units of organisations, sole traders in Sweden, and export orders with payers in secondary countries. Together, we’ve built a robust, flexible solution that protects our business and delivers a smoother experience for our customers across the Nordics.”

The partnership marks Two’s first enterprise deployment of its RaaS product. The company’s expansion into this area aligns with its strategy to move from a payments focus to offering a comprehensive platform that combines payments, credit, and fraud protection.
