Money20/20, the global fintech show, is gearing up to return to Asia from 22 to 24 April 2025, with plans to spotlight cross-border payments.
The second edition of Money20/20 Asia is set to take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. During this year’s show, Money20/20 plans to focus on Asia’s innovations, emerging payment networks, and regulatory leadership that shape the payment ecosystem in the region.
Regulators including Bank Negara Malaysia, Bank of Thailand, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, as well as innovators from GCash, Airwallex, and India’s NPCI are set to take the stage in April.
Cross-border payment has been a dominant theme in Asia’s financial ecosystem. With 49 countries and over 20 actively traded currencies, Asia is the epicentre of global trade and the leader in adopting payment innovations.
The rapid growth of e-commerce and cashless economies in this region calls for impactful payment solutions. But with innovation comes complexity – new technologies, shifting regulations, and fierce competition. Payment giants like Mastercard, American Express, TerraPay, Swift, Discover Global Network, Wise, Fiserv, Nium, EBANX, Thunes, and Unlimit will also speak on stage.
Attendees can look forward to sessions from over 250 key experts across 19 fintech verticals and over 33 countries (including 21 APAC markets), underscoring the importance of fintech innovations, interconnected regional networks, and unified regulatory frameworks. These sessions will reveal pivotal challenges and opportunities of cross-border payments in the region, covering regulatory landscape, financial and technology inclusion, cybersecurity, digitalisation and more.
