Robinhood UK, the stock trading and investing app, is rolling out an AI-powered investing assistant to all customers in the UK.
The new offering, dubbed ‘Digests’, becomes the first feature powered by Robinhood Cortex, the company’s AI-powered investing assistant. Robinhood explains that it uses generative AI to review breaking news, analyst reports, technicals and Robinhood’s proprietary data to summarise why a particular stock may be moving in plain English.
The launch aims to leverage the power of AI to help its UK customers understand what is driving the latest stock movements. AI-powered summaries will look to decode the factors impacting stock price movements in a move to help investors make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.
“Digests by Robinhood Cortex is our first AI insight tool – built directly into our app,” explained Jordan Sinclair, president at Robinhood UK. “We believe our UK customers – from first-time investors to seasoned traders – will appreciate the timely, accessible summaries that highlight what may be moving a stock. We will also keep introducing AI tools that prioritise customer education and help our investors navigate the market with confidence.”
Building on US success
Digests were first announced earlier this year during Robinhood’s Lost City of Gold event in San Francisco. It began rolling out to customers in the US earlier this summer and has already been tested by hundreds of thousands of Robinhood customers.
According to Robinhood, 95 per cent of US customers surveyed said they loved the product, with feedback including that Digests showed them data they care about, that the information was up to date, and sources were relevant and that it was easy to find what they needed.
Suitable for all experience levels, Digests provides a powerful information-gathering layer, explaining what’s happening in the market, allowing investors to form a thesis or validate signals before entering a trade. At launch, Digests are available for many of the most commonly traded stocks on Robinhood and can be found directly on the stock detail page and will be free to all UK customers at launch.
