The Power 50, which showcases 40 fintechs and 10 industry influencers each year, has unveiled the first-ever ‘Payments Power 50’ list, in a move to spotlight the most innovative companies and individuals making waves in the global payments industry.
With the payments industry flourishing, accounting for the largest share of funding among all fintech subsectors in 2024, The Power 50 recognised the need for a specific list for these companies and influencers to compliment its existing list – which includes fintechs from every subsector.
Founded in 2018, The Power 50 shines a spotlight on companies transforming financial services, while delivering ongoing support and development for participants. This highly anticipated list spotlights the individuals and organisations that are setting new benchmarks for innovation and leadership in the industry.
Those who successfully gain entry to the annual programme can access content support including webinars, podcasts, video interviews, editorial features, as well as advertising across The Power 50, The Fintech Times, and Payments Cards & Mobile’s distribution channels.
“The Payments Power 50 is designed to challenge the status quo, provoke discussion, and highlight those who are truly shaping the future of payments,” explained Jason Williams, CEO of The Power 50. “I am extremely proud of the support we have had from the industry and the sheer volume of entries we received. This first year’s list reflects the impressive talent and ambition that continues to drive the industry forward.”
Each of the 40 firms and 10 influencers, will be featured on The Power 50 website, with honourees also benefiting from networking events and year-round industry engagement.
