VinFast, a Vietnamese EV manufacturer and a subsidiary of Vingroup, has signed a MoU with Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) during the Vietnam-Indonesia High-Level Business Dialogue.
The MoU aims to develop financial solutions and promote green transportation in Southeast Asia while strengthening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Under the agreement, VinFast and BNI will collaborate to support Indonesia’s transition to sustainable transport.
The partnership will focus on financing solutions for VinFast’s “For a Green Future” initiative and facilitating electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Indonesia.
BNI will provide advisory services, local expertise, and access to financing for VinFast, its associated companies, and their partners and customers.
In return, VinFast and other Vingroup businesses will offer benefits to BNI employees and partners, including preferential pricing on EVs and related services, as well as financing schemes to encourage EV adoption.
Both parties will also conduct awareness campaigns, events, and strategic collaborations to promote EV accessibility in Indonesia.
These initiatives align with the country’s Net Zero goals and broader economic and environmental objectives.
Agung Prabowo, Director of Wholesale and International Banking at BNI, stated:

“BNI is strongly committed to promoting green initiatives, eco-friendly solutions, and social responsibility. We are highly impressed by VinFast’s pioneering ‘For a Green Future’ ecosystem in Indonesia. With our shared goal of driving sustainable development, we believe this collaboration will not only unlock strategic business opportunities but also strengthen the long-term partnership between Indonesia and Vietnam, contributing to economic and social prosperity.”
Pham Thuy Linh, Deputy CEO of VinFast Global, said:

“VinFast is committed to making the transition to electric vehicles as convenient and worry-free as possible for Indonesian consumers. Through this collaboration, we aim to create meaningful value for society and drive Indonesia’s green and sustainable development.”
